What to Send for a Control Panel Quote
Send six items for a faster quote: electrical scope, enclosure environment, components, quantity, destination market and handover documents.

To quote a control panel without a long back-and-forth, send six things: the electrical scope, the enclosure environment, the components you want inside, the quantity, the destination market, and the documents you need at handover. Complete wired panels can start from one unit and run 35 to 40 days. Empty enclosures start from five units and run 15 to 20 days.
Electrical scope
Send the I/O list if you have one. If not, describe what the panel has to control: motor ratings, valve and sensor counts, and any PLC or HMI platform already selected. We will confirm the point count we would design to.
Enclosure environment
Tell us if the panel is indoor, outdoor, washdown, coastal, dusty, hot, cold or hazardous. The environment decides the enclosure material, ingress protection, cooling, cable entry and hardware.
Components and customer-supplied parts
If you have already specified or purchased the PLC, RTU, data logger, field devices or communication hardware, send that list. We accept customer-supplied core components and build, wire, label and test the panel around them.
Quantity and delivery target
Quantity changes the commercial terms. Complete wired and tested panels start from one unit and run 35 to 40 days. Empty enclosures start from five units and run 15 to 20 days. Tell us the target date so we can quote against a realistic build window.
Destination market and standards
Standards differ by market. Tell us where the panel is going and what your customer expects, and we will confirm the standard we build to. IP65 is an ingress protection rating to IEC 60529, not a certificate.
Handover documents
Tell us whether you need FAT records, FAT photos, and an as-built wiring diagram. If you require them, say so in the RFQ so they are prepared during the build rather than after dispatch.
Why an incomplete enquiry costs you weeks
A quotation is only as good as the information behind it. When the environment, the starting method or the standards requirement is missing, the supplier has two choices: guess, or come back with questions. Both cost you time, and the first one costs you again later when the assumptions turn out to be wrong.
The five gaps we most often have to chase
A motor list without starting method — direct-on-line, star-delta, soft starter or drive changes the component count, the enclosure size and the heat load.
Electrical drawings without the installation environment — indoor, outdoor, washdown, coastal or hazardous drives material, ingress protection, cooling and cable entry.
A PLC brand without an I/O count — the platform tells us the family, not the size of the panel or the number of terminals.
“Must be UL” without saying what that means — a complete panel built to UL 508A through a listed facility is a different scope from buying UL-listed components and assembling locally.
A delivery date without saying whether it includes component procurement — long-lead items are usually the reason a realistic build window looks longer than expected.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need finished drawings before asking for a quote?
No. An I/O list is ideal, but if you do not have one, describe what the panel has to control — motor ratings, valve and sensor counts, and any PLC or HMI platform already chosen. We will confirm the point count we would design to.
Can I send my own PLC, drives or instruments?
Yes. Customer-supplied core components are normal for us — we build, wire, label and test the panel around them.
How quickly will I get a quotation?
With the six items above, one to two working days including a technical review. Without them, the first reply is a list of questions — which is the delay you are trying to avoid.
What if I do not know which enclosure rating I need?
Describe where the panel will live — indoor, outdoor, washdown, coastal, dusty, hot, cold or hazardous — and we will recommend material, ingress protection, cooling and cable entry rather than asking you to pick a rating you have no reason to know.
What happens next
Send your BOM, sketch or I/O list to info@uniregal.com. We will return a quotation with the assumptions written out: what we supply, what you supply, the expected build window and the documents included.
Need help specifying or sourcing this for your project? Request a quote - we reply within 1-2 working days with a technical review.
