Customer-Supplied Components for Control Panels
Send your PLC, RTU or field devices and we build the panel around them: enclosure, protection, wiring, labeling and functional testing.
You can supply the core components. If you have already specified or purchased the PLC, RTU, data logger, drives or field instruments, we build the panel around them: enclosure, power supply, terminals, protection, wiring, labeling and functional testing. Complete wired panels start from one unit and run 35 to 40 days; empty enclosures have a five-unit minimum and run 15 to 20 days.
Why buyers ask
Integrators and machine builders often arrive with the control platform already decided. It may be a standard the end user insists on, a platform your service team is trained on, or stock you already hold. In those cases changing the platform is not an option, and the question is not what we sell. It is whether we will work inside your bill of materials.
What we need from you
Send the component list with the exact part numbers, plus any mounting, wiring or clearance requirements the manufacturer specifies. If the parts are already with you, tell us when they will reach us. If you are still specifying, we can confirm enclosure, power and protection sizing around the parts you have chosen.
What we do with them
We check incoming parts against your list, note any transit damage before assembly, and mount and wire them to the drawings. Supplied items stay identifiable in the documentation so your records and ours match at handover.
Where the boundary sits
The supply split is written into the quotation: what you supply, what we supply, and what our build covers. Anything that affects the warranty position of a supplied part is stated before the order, not after.
Documentation and testing
FAT records and photographs, and an as-built wiring diagram, can be provided with the panel. Tell us in the RFQ if your procurement process requires them, so they are prepared during the build rather than after dispatch.
Standards
Requirements differ by destination market, so tell us where the panel is going and we will confirm the standard we build to. Ingress protection is a tested rating, for example IP65 to IEC 60529, not a certificate.
How the sequence actually runs
The order matters more than most buyers expect. We confirm the enclosure size and internal layout from your component list first, because that decides cutout positions, gland plate space and thermal headroom. Once you approve the layout we start fabrication while your parts are still in transit, so assembly can begin the day they land. FAT is scheduled after assembly and before packing, not on the morning of collection.
If your parts arrive late we hold the build slot rather than start assembly around missing items. Rewiring a finished panel to fit a part that turned up afterwards costs more than waiting for it, and it leaves the FAT record describing a panel that no longer matches what is being shipped.
What usually goes wrong with supplied parts
Four problems account for most of the friction:
Part numbers that are close but not exact. A CPU and a CPU with a different firmware suffix are not interchangeable, and the difference usually only appears at first power-up — after the panel is built.
Missing accessories. Terminal blocks, connectors, memory cards and backup batteries are frequently absent from the component list but needed to finish the wiring.
Transit damage nobody recorded. We photograph and log the condition of every supplied item on arrival, so damage is attributed before assembly rather than argued about afterwards.
Firmware that does not match the rest of the panel. State the expected version in the RFQ and we confirm it before integration.
None of these are reasons to avoid supplying your own parts. They are reasons to send the list early and send it complete.
Questions worth asking any build partner
Who carries the warranty on a supplied component that fails during FAT?
Will the as-built diagram show your parts and ours as separate schedules?
What happens to the build slot if one part is delayed?
Is FAT witnessed, and do we get the records before the panel ships?
