Process Control Panels

Food Processing Control Panels

Foshan supplier of washdown-duty food processing control panels: 304/316L stainless, IP66 to IP69K, sloped-top builds with food-grade gaskets. Complete panels from 1 unit; empty enclosures from 5.

Food Processing Control Panels — Washdown Duty

We are a Foshan-based supplier and sourcing partner for food processing control panels. Send the drawings, the BOM or just the signal list, and we quote the enclosure, the internal hardware and the wiring as one scope — built for the washdown regime your plant actually runs, not a generic IP65 box.
We are not a system integrator. Process control philosophy, PLC/SCADA programming and site commissioning stay with you or your integrator. What we deliver is a wired, labelled, tested panel that arrives ready for their scope.

Stainless enclosure prepared for a washdown area — sloped top, no external shelves, food-grade gasket.

What "washdown duty" actually means

Two ratings get quoted interchangeably on food projects, and they are not the same test:
  • IP66 / NEMA 4X — protected against powerful water jets from any direction. This is the normal rating for a panel in a wet processing area.
  • IP69K — protected against close-range, high-pressure, high-temperature spray (typically 80 °C at 80–100 bar from four angles). This is what you need if the panel sits inside the daily caustic wash-down route at close range.
Ask which cycle the panel will actually see. Specifying IP69K on a panel mounted outside the spray route adds cost for no benefit; specifying IP66 on one that gets hit at arm's length with 80 °C caustic is how gaskets fail in month six.

304 or 316L — where the line sits

Environment
Recommended
Why
Dry packing, secondary packaging, ambient warehousing
304 stainless, or powder-coated carbon steel
No chloride exposure. Carbon steel is the cost-effective choice where washdown is occasional.
Daily washdown, dairy, beverage, fresh produce
304 stainless
Handles routine detergent and warm water rinse.
Brine, pickling, seafood, CIP with chloride cleaners, coastal sites
316L stainless
Chloride pitting is the failure mode. 304 will stain and pit here; 316L is the honest spec.
We will tell you if 304 is sufficient for your process. Over-specifying 316L on a dry packing line is money spent for nothing.

Hygiene geometry — the details that get missed

  • Sloped top (typically 15–30°) so water and product residue run off instead of pooling.
  • No external shelves or ledges — nothing for residue to sit on.
  • Food-grade gasket (silicone or EPDM to your hygiene standard), continuous, with a sealed gland plate rather than open knock-outs.
  • Standoff from the wall — enough clearance to wash behind the enclosure, not flush-mounted.
  • Internal drainage / breather where condensation is expected between hot wash and cold process.
  • Cable entry from below where possible, so water does not track along the cable into the gland.

Two ways to buy

Complete panel, built to your drawing

You send the drawing and BOM, or the signal list and required interfaces. We source the enclosure, power supply, terminals, protection, relays and accessories, then lay out, assemble, wire, label and test the panel. Prototype and project orders start from a single unit.

Empty enclosure, prepared to your cut-out list

If your own team wires the panel, we supply the enclosure with cut-outs, gland plate, mounting plate, door hardware and gasket already done. Minimum order quantity 5 units.

Finished panel, wired and labelled to the drawing, before FAT.

Lead time and MOQ

Scope
Minimum
Lead time
Complete panel (built to drawing)
From 1 unit
35–40 days — confirmed after drawing and BOM review
Empty enclosure (prepared to cut-out list)
5 units
15–20 days
Spare components / replacement devices
No minimum
3–5 days where stocked
We do not quote a lead time before we have seen the drawing. The number above is the honest range; anything shorter is a promise someone else will break.

Factory acceptance test and documentation

Every complete panel is powered and functionally tested before it ships. FAT records are included with the shipment:
  • Continuity and insulation resistance check
  • Power-on test at rated supply
  • I/O loop check against your signal list (digital, analogue, relay output)
  • Comms check where a protocol is specified (Modbus or Profinet loop-back against your register list)
  • Label and ferrule verification against the drawing
  • Inspection photos before packing

Internal wiring and termination to the terminal schedule.

Applicable industries

Dairy and beverage, fresh produce and salad packing, meat and poultry, seafood and brine processing, bakery, ready-meal and CIP-heavy plants, brewery and bottling lines.

FAQ — Food Processing Control Panels

Q: Can you supply IP69K? A: Yes — but tell us the wash cycle first. IP69K is worth it inside the close-range high-temperature spray route; outside it, IP66 is usually the correct and cheaper choice.
Q: 304 or 316 for our line? A: If chlorides are present — brine, seafood, chloride-based CIP chemicals, coastal air — 316L. Otherwise 304 is sufficient and we will say so.
Q: Do you build to a hygienic design standard? A: We build to the hygiene requirements you specify: sloped top, no ledges, food-grade gasket, standoff mounting, sealed cable entry. Send the standard or the checklist and we quote against it.
Q: Can you match an existing panel we already have on the line? A: Usually yes. Send photos plus the drawing or the cut-out dimensions and we quote a like-for-like replacement, including the internal layout.
Q: What is the minimum order? A: One unit for a complete panel on prototype and project orders. Five units for empty enclosures.
